In rural India we are practicing traditionally organic farming as part of our farming culture. Chemicals have entered our agriculture and villages not more than 50 years, which is showing its negative effect on our soil, water and human beings. As part of our objectives to have safe and clean environment we are working on the issues of eliminating chemical from our farms. For this to achieve we are promoting use of cow dung and cow urine as fertilizers and various kinds of bio-pest control techniques. Our aim is to reduce the expenditure on agriculture and also making our agriculture chemical free. We also promote mix cropping in place of mono-crops.
PVK has been instrumental in developing model farms and organizing exposure tours and organizing learning opportunities for the farmers. We are also working for promoting revival of Millet crops in the state. PVK has been working with more than 500 farmers.
